Tribal Print Chic

Hello loves, today I’m featuring a tribal print vintage inspired sundress look. In keeping with the vintage look, I thought it appropriate to wear my hair shorter…not to worry, I didn’t take a scissors to it, ha! Oh no! Instead, as all my natural sistas know, some of us are endowed with “stretch berry” hair type. All I had to do was spritz my hair with my special mixture of water, vegetable glycerin, jojoba and Argan oils, and voila!

So, because tribal prints most often come in vibrant colors ( see here and here, for my previous tribal print posts), I opted to pair this darling of a dress with nude heels and a clutch. Of course, there the temptation to match colors by sporting a shade from the print, but I resisted. I wanted the dress to bask in all its attention, and so, here it is.

In addition, I styled it with this white pearl pebble collar neck piece from Amrita Singh, that Im still loving. See how I styled it here.

I love this dress, because, in all of it’s simplicity, it epitomizes feminity. From the square neckline and tab sleeves to the gathered full body skirt… it just screams vintage feminity. You’ll rarely catch me with anything free flowing. I love fitted clothing and, I especially adore anything that cinches the waist, aka belts, sashes, etc. The definition it gives me at the waist is quite chic, I think. Therefore, as a final touch, I tied a nice little bow using the same fabric sash.

Wearing:

  • Dress: Custom made Tribal print fabric
