The deconstructed shirt trend has been going on for a few seasons now, and doesn’t seem to be waning anytime soon. The classic button down shirt reimagined, deconstructed to look more modern. The off shoulder cut of this shirt, like these here and here, bares the décolletage area, creating a look that oozes with feminity, and effortless sex appeal. Have you tried the deconstructed shirt trend yet? If not, you can certainly start with a DIY take for a chic and effortless look, like I did here.
In the same vein, the Bomber jacket or “flight Jacket” in military jargon, much like the trench coat, evolved from the jackets worn by WWI flight pilots, eventually stylized and perfected for civilians and street fashion. If you missed it, see my previous post on a brief history of trench coats here.
Deconstructed off shoulder shirt + Bomber Jacket (OOTD)
So today, I paired the Deconstructed off shoulder shirt + Bomber Jacket trend which are both perfect for fall weather. You’ll appreciate it more if your weather is like here in Texas, where we go from hot to cool or vice versa, on a single day. The shirt allows you to enjoy the weather and soak up the warmth of the sun, while the bomber jacket provides some warmth if it cools down. I paired them with these frayed hem jeans to keep my look streamlined.
Anyways, I have had this shirt for quite a few months and I believe it’s sold out, (pardon me, but I didn’t intend to style it on the blog, but here it goes). However, I found and linked up similar ones here, here, and here. The same goes for the bomber jacket…check out these ones here (want this) and here.
In case you haven’t noticed, let me post out that I have a serious thing for hats…like you see here, here, and…I don’t know why, so don’t ask me…hehe. But for a pop of color, I styled this look with this red heels and carried this circle hand bag you’ve also seen here. See below for some of my alternate styling tips.
