How to style Paisley Print dress + Cowboy boots Are you a fan of the Paisley print? or do you think it’s too busy of a print, too old fashioned? Well, an alternative to florals, Paisley print is a timeless print, that dates back to ancient Iranian Buta Motifs. Unfortunately, it can easily border on overwhelming and complicated, and because of the many curl patterns and print, if not styled carefully, could be overwhelming to the eyes.

Although quite possible to mix prints, like I did here, to create a pallet that is quite pleasing to the eyes, the key is to keep your look monochromatic. Do this by adding varying tones of the major or rich color via accessories like, say, a scarf, bag, or belt…this also adds depth to your look.
How to style Paisley Print dress + Cowboy boots (OOTD)
This cold shoulder, asymmetric hem totally elevates the feminine and romantic vibe of this dress. The asymmetric hem creates interest and adds a subtle edge to my silhouette. I styled it with and emphasis on the rich brown fall hue in my cowboy boot, and jacket (see how I previously styled the jacket here).
However, I opted for an olive color bag and belt to break up the pattern while also accentuating my waistline. Finally, the scarf continues the color pattern, albeit different print, but also serves as a point of interest. How else would you style this dress?
