BCBG Maxazria Bold yellow dress

It’s officially summer y’all!

Ah! Summer…that season of endless, frolicking fun. But hold up!

I had to throw in this visually stimulating yellow BCBG Maxazria bold yellow dress before the cool summer shades. I love this easy, bold, floral yellow dress with it’s flouncy details….most note worthy, is the sultry split hem that adds a feminine finish. Also, because yellow is such a bold, and in your face color, for shoes, I dialed back the color with something less eye catching. I opted for this sassy gold sandals, and finally a white clutch for a crisp, fresh look. The dress makes me want to burst into this Kehlani song “…a woman, like the sun should always stay bright…”

Yellow is one of the most captivating colors, as a matter of fact, it’s the most visible in the color spectrum. It is  associated with youth, lightheartedness, merriment, joy, sunshine, and warmth…I could go on. Wearing yellow can be tricky though. Because most people feel intimidated, there are certain tips to employ to help overcome or reduce the feeling of dread.

First, avoid pairing with just black, throw in another color to avoid the bumblebee effect.

Secondly, yellow pairs well with bright blue, green, coral, and white.

Alternatively, just simply wear yellow as an accessory for a pop of color!

Yellow comes to mind when we think happy thoughts. Happy thoughts of the coming summer months with merriments that to go with it is what I’m about today…swimming, water skying, travel, and shopping of course.

As far as shopping goes…keep in mind, this is the time most retailers start marking down summer items in an effort to  make room for fall clothes, so don’t get too caught up in the warmth…it’s a good time to snag up some of these deals on purchases that will look like an investment.
