Fall Ruffles
Welcome back! I love that you’re stopping by.
Although fall is in full swing, here in Texas we haven’t quite felt it yet. So, I decided to feature this Beyoncé inspired Gucci ruffle sheath dress, albeit with a Fall twist. Beyoncé wore the Gucci version of this dress, of course, as a matching outfit with daughter, Blue Ivy earlier this year. I loved it and decided to have mine custom-made, at a fraction of the fashion power-house cost…Insert wink emoji. Don’t judge…a girl’s gotta find ways to look good. Who’s with me?
Moving on. Aside from tiered ruffled sleeves, this sheath dress also features a ruffled placket under the collar with a button down high neck collar which gives it an understated elegance. So, here are the reasons why I like this dress. First, it’s versatility. This ruffle sheath dress can be worn year round, with the right accessories, and it’s perfect for any occasion. For spring and summer, wear it with a sassy open toe high-heeled sandal for that city girl chic look. Fall and winter seasons would call for nude color booties, like I did here, or pair it with opaque tights and wear them with ankle boots and a coat for warmth.
Secondly, I love the colors and the abstract look reminds me of the famous Monet water lilies painting. The medley of purple violet, green and orange is also perfect for this season. Hence, I decided to carry this orange purse, which i previously styled here.
Finally, the high button up collar is very chic without looking stifled. The ruffled placket under the collar softens the look, keeping the look more fun and feminine than stifled. What are your thoughts? Leave me a comment below.
Ciao…See you soon!
