Boucle + Wool + Faux Fur Stole
Hello loves! Happy 2017
Welcome back! How was your Christmas celebration? Boucle + wool + Faux Fur stole are the order of the day. I have been gone for a few weeks…Family vaca to the motherland was in order this past Christmas. Consequently, I took advantage and had my hair braided, with wool…not the traditional synthetic hair, and I love it because, although bulky, it’s actually quite light. So, I’ll be rocking this hair for a while, until I get tired of it. Moreover, It actually serves as protective style for my natural tresses.
Importantly, I trust you rang in the new year with very spirited celebrations…the NY Times Square ball drop, fireworks, and Auld Lang Syne being sung. Well, I missed it all…I spent the new year in the sky, en route back to the States….and yes, that was boring, but we had to schedule our return trip thus to ensure my children return back to school in time.
Jet lags and Resolutions to keep, or not
Needless to say, this mama is quite exhausted…between the jet lag and lack of rest from infinite events and activities jam packed in so little time. If you follow me on instagram, I have posted some pics of the events with more to come, as I gather the strength, collect my thoughts, and hopefully, eventually stop yawning. I feel like my body has been taken over by aliens half the time. In spite of the challenges, we had a blast, and will probably do it again!
Any New Year resolutions you are looking forward to keeping? Like most people, I have resolved to not make any…reason being, I keep then for the first week, and if I’m doing really well, into the first month, then somehow I somehow forget what it was I resolved to do, or not do. So…I give up.
Today’s look
I have owned this Boucle skirt suit for over a decade and still love it. I styled it today with these knees high BCBG Maxazria boots, previously styled here. The gloves add and edgy elegance to my look, as well as warmth. However, If you live in Texas, you know how the weather has been these past few days, I’m talking teens, burrr! In addition, for an added dose of elegance, I draped this Faux Fur stole across my shoulder, and belted it in place (ya know I love belts). This is a different take on how I previously styled it, you can check it out here and here. Finally, I sealed the look for a more chic effect with this hat, which also acts as a pop of color t the monochrome look.
What do you think? Leave your thoughts below
xoxo…
What an awesome look, lady!

Thanks hon!
I had no idea Texas gets that cold. I live under my covers and we’re in the 50’s. That outfit has a Chanel vibe to it. Very beautiful. Welcome back doll.

Thanks for stopping by dear! Texas weather is bipolar, as my daughter says…hehe. We get somewhat cold about once a season. Yes, Chanel actually popularized the boucle fabric style.
Permit me to say you look absolutely fabulous. Idu Emeziem just took the words out of my mouth, the outfit has a Chanel vibe to it. Would have sold me if you told me it was Chanel and I’ll be all open mouthed here on this side of the planet and need I say more, faux fur is the truth this season.
Lol! The Chanel vive was actually the attraction for me…as long as I have owned it, it still holds a special place in my closet
