Choosing cocktail + party dresses + Holiday fashion Part I

Hello lovelies!

Well, its that time of year again…time for parties, galas, hosting, and entertainment! Which in turn calls for dresses/outfits. But how do you choose the right dress?

Tips for choosing a cocktail/party dress

Because a cocktail dress should make you feel sexy and confident.
The foremost consideration is deciding what part of your body you’d like to highlight. Basically, what are your best features, or where would you like to call attention to?

It’s super important to feel confident and not worry about your legs, bust or hips. So, choose dresses that will highlight your best features while drawing attention from problematic areas. For example, if you’d like to highlight your slender waistline, go for fitted and defined dresses, nipped at the waist, or emphasize your waistline with a belt in a contrasting color.

Also, go for a dress that emphasizes your personality and style. Another important thing is to choose a dress that will stand the test of time, in a color that you can easily and comfortably accessorize. If you are concerned about paying too much, know that Classic pieces and colors will eventually pay for themselves. However, you should stay within a budget that is comfortable for you.

As I always say, which ever dress you choose, own it and rock it with poise and confidence!

I’m showing this dress in two different looks. The first look features a faux fur stole to add some chic glamour to your look, also styled with gold slingback heels for a polished coordinated vibe.

On the other hand, I styled the second look is a little dressed down. Paired with a red blazer, which adds a more structured vibe to the look. Also, the less dress heels is perfect for work. This would be so appropriate for the office or work party look…keeping things professional while getting your sparkle on.

This dress fits you beautifully. Love your picks especially the pink and black one from Self Portrait, which I see has been reduced!
