How to perfect the Resort wear or look
Cult Gaia Stella bag | Boater hat | Linen Tunic top | Michael Kors Block heel sandals Posted by Vivellefashion

Hello Lovelies!

Well, if you’re like me, you may be wondering…What is the resort look? Do you know how to perfect the Resort wear or look? The resort look, or vacation, holiday look entails light, breezy, breathable fabrics like cotton, linen, khakis, collared shirts or tunics, maxis, knee length summer dresses and skirts included…in essence, it’s basically clothing that’s easy to wear or pack for a vacation. Clothings that’s casual, yet sophisticated.

In addition, there’s also the Resort collection, which is a ‘season’ featuring cotton, linen, and nautical inspired clothings that designers put out around thanksgiving, pre-xmas for those fortunate and wealthy enough to escape the cold weather and go vacation in warmer climate areas. No shade intended.

How to perfect the Resort wear or look (OOTD)

Because the shades of white, pastel, and earth tones in this look is a minimalist but classic, and elegant look, it definitely exudes a laidback, chic resort look, or Parisian vibe. Yes, I am a tad bit obsessed with the Parisian look, so if you missed my previous posts on Parisian vibes, you can check it out here and here.

Tunics, especially linen ones like this are super versatile and work really well in the warm season. Seriously, they pair really well with skinny jeans/pants, cropped ankle pants, skirts, or even over dresses. However, I paired this denim shade linen collared tunic with a super breezy crisp linen, cargo pants, that I previously styled hereThis look just screams laid back comfort, classy, with an understated sophistication.

Further, to echo and channel the laidback Resort or vacation vibe, I added a boater hat with this on-trend Cult Gaia Stella straw bag. Also, notice I show two slightly different looks…paired with a natural hue block heel sandals that maintains that minimalist look. However, adding a pop of color, as in the yellow sandals, not only serves as a beautiful contrast, but also elevates my look, and adds a point of interest.

Alternative styling tips for a resort look

  • Maxi dresses like this and this are perfect versatile pieces that can also double up as cover-ups
  • on the other hand, style these or these for a classy laid back look. Try this one too.
  • Also, you can style my look above with these super cute sandals
  • Pair the tunic top with these skinny ankle pants instead
  • style the tunic top as a cover-up over your bikini for an easy breezy chic vibe

Given these points, how else would you style this look? What is your favorite resort look? However you choose, remember to own it and rock it with poise and confidence!

Thanks for stopping by and reading my post. See you next week…Ciao!!!
