Hello again! If you follow me on social media you will find out it’s no secret that I refuse to buy into the notion that a style or fashion blogger must always be clad in brand new items with every post. I just try to have fun with fashion.
On the contrary I restyle my clothing and make no apologies about it. Therefore, in this post this I will be talking about how to update and refresh your wardrobe, by breathing new life into your old clothes in How to restyle your old sweater dress.
In light of that, I refuse to crumble under the expectations, spoken or unspoken rules, that you should only style new items. That being said, I love the challenge, excitement, and ensuing satisfaction of revamping and restyling an old outfit to take on new life, by creating a totally different look for an outfit each time I put it on. Besides, it’s easy on my budget!
How to restyle your old sweater dress
For that reason, I dug up this BCBG Maxazria A-line Cowl neck sweater dress. I have previously worn it with ankle boots and a winter jacket. This time however, I decided to take my styling up a notch, in stages, as you’ll notice. First, I started with this harness belt, see my previous posts where I made the case for harness belts here. Next, I added this wool fedora hat, also previously styled here and here.
Finally, as if to say that was not enough, and to add a whole new dimension to my look I added this fringed corset belt also previously styled here. Y’all know I’m a lover of belts I live for the silhouette of a well defined waist line
