Welcome back Lovelies! How was your week?
Blush for spring!
Spring calls for skirts, dresses, florals, pastels and Midi skirts. Midi skirts are all the rage and a great addition for any spring wardrobe, they create an elegant, ladylike, and effortless look.
How to style a Midi Skirt-Easter Inspo (OOTD)
Today, the look is pastels with a pop of neon for color. I paired this dusty Rose top over a white midi skirt with embroidered details….the solid colors give a look of chic elegance. The eyelet look fabric of the skirt makes a feminine statement. To accentuate my waistline, I wore this similar colored belt with a floral accent. Then, for a pop of color, I decided on these neon green pumps….it is spring after all! Finally, these Halston Heritage shoulder bag also in dusty Rose carried as a clutch (also perviously styled here, here and here), sealed my look. What are your thoughts?
Alternative Styling Tips
Here is my take on alternative styling options. Although Midi skirts are easy to wear, they can easily veer to the frumpy side. The perfect Midi length hits at about mid calf, however, this really varies. For shorter gals, you can opt to tailor your skirt to at, or just below the knee. Taller gals, on the other hand, can wear any length, but care must be taken to avoid busting into the maxi zone.
- Pair a solid color midi skirt with a floral top, and
- A solid silk crop top will pair fabulously with a floral midi
- Alternatively, you can pair with a chambray top for that casual chic look, or
- Go monochromatic with your look for a fresh look.
- Add a hat for that chic southern belle look, also perfect for Easter.
Remember, however you choose to style it, rock it with poise and confidence!
See you next week…Ciao!
