Hello loves. Welcome back!
Call of the Wild
Have you incorporated the animal print Fall trend in your wardrobe yet? Do you consider animal prints too daring or too trashy? Either way, you would not be totally wrong, because that all depends on how you wear/style animal print. Although animal print is season-less, the trend is in full swing this fall…Leopard print specifically, but who’s checking right? They are all exotic prints, and can be overpowering, and a put off, when done wrong. On the other hand, when done right, the outfit exudes boldness, and daring sophistication. Here are a few reasons why I love animal print, and I think you should too, since they are not going away anytime soon.
First, and foremost, animal prints are considered neutrals, perhaps the new black? But of course…it makes total sense since they have black, brown, and camel all meshed up together in one pattern/print. This means animal print can literarily be paired with just about anything…yes, and no need to try and match animal print, since they are quite capable of standing alone. Which brings me to the second reason. Animal print adds a certain amount of fierceness, edginess, and what I call chicie-spunk to your look…delivering that sartorial elegance we all seek.
Wearing animal print can be tricky though. My best advice would be to take it in small doses, as in accessories, a statement coat, pumps etc., again in small doses. Wonder why I keep stressing small doses? Well, I bet you can imagine…an overdose of animal print can be quite scary. The movie Zoolander is prime example…It’s a movie, I know. But sometimes you how ‘movie imitates life, or is it life imitates movie’. Whatever, you get my drift.
My (Outfit of the Day) OOTD
Today, I’m wearing an animal print skirt, which I paired with this simple purple turtle neck. I love that the neck doesn’t actually require folding, but simply ruches smoothly around the neck. Also, in keeping with the season, I’m wearing my BCBG Maxazria knee high/over-the knee boots. I love that I have that option.
I love versatility in my pieces, as seen here, here, and here…ha ha. But seriously though verstility does come in handy and I’ve been known to make pieces that are not versatile, versatile to suit my fashion mood, hee hee.
So, tell me…what are your thoughts on how to wear animal print Fall trend? What animal print pieces do you own or considering?

Small doses would be the way to go when it comes to this. I love animal print but don’t wear them nearly enough. Pretty skirt Viv!
