Summer Fun!
What’s summer fun without a little frolicking in water?
My daughter dared me to jump into the water fall during our photo shoot session…and I did! it was so much fun…I loved the spontaneity of the moment. A flurry of memories came flooding into my mind, bringing back childhood memories of summer fun…frolicking in the rain without a care in the world. That was exactly how I felt, while enjoying the Texas blistering sun and coolness of the water, simultaneously, without a care in the world.
Now back to reality. I had to dig deep in my closet to find this once favorite blouse. I bought it a size larger than I normally wear because it was the last available one for miles from me. So, in order to fix the neckline that was a little loose, I whipped out my sewing kit, did a little nip and tuck…and voila. Mom would be proud! Of course the draped style was also very forgiving…hehe!
I paired this lovely top with an old pair of skinny R&R jeans. Yes, I went old school on today’s post, vintage, you might say. I built up my outfit around these lovely pair of chunky sandals. Do you find yourself doing that? I mean, build your whole ensemble around an accessory, be it shoes, handbag/purse, or bracelet. To up the amp a little, I wore it with these trending log sole chunky, white contrast platform heel sandals. These log sole sandals add a little edgy vibe to the outfit. I love them because they can be worn with just about any outfit, and they come in a variety of styles, flats, boots and platform heels as worn here. Pair them with a skater skirt, a midi skirt, ankle pants, or jeans.
Then, for a laid back look I carried my new favorite Halston Heritage shoulder bag. However, for a little more structured, shopper look, see how I paired it with a satchel. Which look appeals more to you?
Thanks for stopping by…stay elegant!
