Anybody that knows me knows I am not a big proponent of big Pharma. I am sharing on the blog today what my family and I have used for the past few years to get a complete handle on our allergies. And if you live in Texas you know exactly what I’m talking about. My plan is simple…vitamin C and Quercetin. I explain My simple and natural allergy remedy + Floral Maxi skirt and scarfs, so read on…
Now, before I go further, I must thank the lady at sprouts who introduced me to this amazing remedy. Also, check out my post on natural flu remedies here.

Why vitamin C?
Vitamin C is both an essential nutrient and an antioxidant. It is a water soluble vitamin Among so many other uses, it has been found to be beneficial in treating and shortening the duration of common cold. Additionally, it’s also beneficial as an anti aging supplement, so you get many benefits!
My go-to brand is made by New Chapter. This particular brand of Vitamin C is extracted fro whole food sources, making it pre optimized for easy absorption. In addition, it is not laden with fillers, preservatives, and other non beneficial additives.
Why Quercetin ?
Quercetin is a flavonoid antioxidant in deeply colored foods such as onions, green leafy vegetables, berries, broccoli and tomatoes. Among other benefits, it is lauded for it’s anti inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti allergic properties. Because of its anti histamine property it becomes very beneficial in controlling seasonal allergies, as effectively as prescription meds without any side effects! This is no joke!
According to Dr. Axe, It works by down regulating or suppressing inflammatory pathways or functions” especially those caused by leukocytes. It even plays a role in The anti-aging process. Read more here.
Finally, I have recommended this to several friends and coworkers, who also rave about it, so I would love to know if this worked for you as well.
My simple and natural allergy remedy + Floral Maxi skirt and scarfs
Since we’re on the subject of allergies, I thought it appropriate to style this amazing floral maxi skirt. I have owned this skirt for a few years now and previously styled it here, a tad conservatively I might add…when I newly started my blogging journey!

In this look I decided to play up the vibrant colors by adding a contrasting yellow with my blazer and heeled mules, both of which I have previously styled here, here, here, and here…perhaps even more time than I care to count. I do love restyling my clothes….you know, the whole sustainability thing! Check out my post on that topic here and here!
