Pink body con bandage dress + Blogiversary

Well hello Lovelies! It’s my ONE year blogiversary!

I started this journey approximately one year ago, with intent to use it as a healthy outlet to showcase my love of fashion and inspire others. However, I had no idea that I would meet the most fabulous, kind hearted, and loving people. Also, making great connections and friends on the way is an added bonus.

Most importantly, I thank God daily for this opportunity. However, I cannot thank you, my fabulous readers, enough for your continued support; for taking the time to visit my blog page, leaving comments, and following me on social media. I read the comments with great anticipation, eager to see what you have to say…it means the world to me.

Also, I have to thank Fashionably Idu for being a huge inspiration, and supporter, and cheerleader. I have to say you are amazing and have the most beautiful heart. Thanks for visiting and leaving comments on my blog posts even when I still was trying to find my way around the blogging world, and had no other visitors. Additionally, special thanks to audreycan and faithfulandfabulousfemale for featuring me on your blogs even so early on in my journey. Y’all are the bomb and I can’t wait to return the favor and more collabs.

Pink body con bandage dress + Blogiversary (OOTD)

Go loud or go home! Today, I am talking Pink body con bandage dress + blogiversary. I picked up this pastel pink bandage dress from a boutique about a year ago, but kept passing it over. The pastel pink of this dress is understated, but elegant and classy…albeit the body con bandage style, which is quite flattering and very Herve Leger-ish.

However, to give my look a little oomph, I paired it with this fuchsia coat. The fuchsia coat makes a bold statement (It’s actually a trench dress, styled as a coat…shh). It amps up my look and totally takes it to the next level. Just like red, previously seen here, fuchsia is a strong color that makes a statement all it’s own, so if you’er not feeling daring, check out my other alternative styling tips below. But keep your eyes peeled for this trench restyled soon.

Additionally, I am wearing the pink scarf for an added visual interest, even so, it adds a chic and trendy, city girl vibe to my look. On the other hand, the scarf also ties in the loubs, previously styled here and here, dress and the trench together, meshing up the look without being too visually distracting, in spite of the color.

Finally, the black handbag adds a little balance to the whole look, grounding the loudness of the fuchsia trench. What are your thought on this look?

Alternative styling Tips

Whats not to like about the pink/fuschia family…they are my absolute favorite colors. Because they also safely pair with almost any color, your choice of styling and accessorizing will depend solely on your mood. Here’s my take tho

  • Style the bandage dress on its own with just the scarf to complement the dress and add a little extra oomph and chicness.
  • Styling with nude heels allows the body hugging sex appeal of the dress to take center stage
  • Rather than the scarf, style with a statement necklace to add another layer of glamour to your look
  • Ditch the handbag for a clutch in a metallic color of silver or gold to add some glam to your look, great as a wedding guest
  • To tone down the ultra feminity and toughen the look, choose to add a little dose of edginess by throwing a moto jacket over your shoulders paired with black heeled sandal for a cool on trend look
  • pair with yellow pumps and nude colored handbag/clutch for a a fresh street style cred!

Remember, however you choose to style it, own it and rock it with poise and confidence!

See you next week…Ciao!!
