Hello Lovlies!

Feminine Vibes for Spring

Well hello Spring! Spring has finally sprung! This new season brings us fresh hues, the lilacs, pastels, and blushes. Spring also brings us Fresh flowers and floral outfits, delicate fabrics, like linen, chiffon, and hemp. This year, the Pantone colors for spring includes the lilac, blues, yellows and whites. See the complete list here.

Spring Floral dress-Tulip Orchid printed gown (OOTD)

There’s something about wearing a long, flowy feminine dress that evokes a feeling of grace and elegance, and I love that. This floral print chiffon dress certainly did that for me…I love the long, flowy, vibrant hues, and bold oyster/tulip print of this gown. The airy fabric of chiffon also just screams Spring! The gown comes with a partially concealed slit that is only apparent as you walk giving it that subtle desired sex appeal. Also, the neckline was had quite a plunge, so I had to do a little nip and tuck to make it more my taste.

So, as beautiful as the gown is, I wanted something more. Perhaps a little cover up for this transitional weather, so I decided to pair this lovely gown with this vibrant yellow blazer, which I previously killed hereI chose yellow, and not the traditional white because I love the excitement of an unexpected color combo, and dare I say it gives the outfit that vibrance that lilac/lavender needs to pop.

I contemplated on wearing a neck piece. I also knew that I needed one that would pop, so dug in my jewelry box and found this long forgotten J. Crew statement necklace (also see this), which coincidentally had the perfect colors I needed. I am notorious for buying things and forgetting about them…this sure came in handy this time. I wore these glitter lilac platform sandals I recently bought to keep a continuous flow, and then finished up with this fabulous J.W Anderson pierce handbag.

Alternative Styling Tips

Here are my tips to style this look differently. This tulip/orchid printed gown can definitely hold her own, so wear it as is with a dainty feminine necklace, a white clutch and nude heels for an allover, pastel/monochromatic look. Alternatively, go traditional and pair with a fitted white cropped blazer, and small structured handbag for a polished on trend look. I have also, included a pic of the look with a different color clutch, that I previously style here.

Which look do you prefer? How else would you style it differently? Lemme know in the comments. Remember…how ever you choose to style it, own it and rock it with poise and confidence!

See you soon, and thanks for stopping by….Ciao!

I do too! And I’m referring to the unexpected color combo. The choice of a yellow jacket is so awesome. I love the two tone clutch but they are both fabulous. You are so beautiful Viv!

The combination of the yellows is well on point. I usually love yellow in the spring so good one. The gown is really a beauty and that slit just put the T at the top. Imagine walking with the wind blowing. ( you get the picture…hahaha)
