Hello lovelies!

What can you do with a men’s dress shirt? How would you style and incorporate it into your wardrobe? What better way to add sexy androgynous vibe into your wardrobe than by your man’s dress shirts.

As sexy and stylish as it may be to sport your man’s oversized dress shirt about the house…there are no rules against wearing them on the street. In fact, styling men’s dress shirt scores you some serious street style cred and a fashion forward look.

Styling oversized men’s dress shirt (OOTD)

Today, I’m sporting styling oversized men’s dress shirt as a top. There are several ways to sport this androgynous look, but I decided to pair it with high waisted culottes…they are shorter palazzo pants, if you ask me, and quite chic when styled well. That’ll be for another post.

Although, these high waisted wide leg pants or culottes (all relative), comes with some excess bulk, I didn’t care about balancing my silhouette with a fitted top, rather I opted to style it with this oversized men’s dress shirt. However, it totally helps that my waistline is still defined sans a belt, which helps keep my silhouette elongated, despite the bulk. Also, wearing the shirt off shoulder, adds a sexy effortless chic vibe via the décolletage.

The feminine sex appeal is balanced quite nicely by with the structured satchel, which adds to the androgynous look as well, perfect for the office. The chocker, also previously styled here adds a dose of spunky edginess to my look. Finally, the hat, also previously styled here just adds some interest to the whole look. Why booties? That’s just what I was feeling, pumps could have worked just as well.

What are your thoughts? How else would you style this look?

Alternative Styling Tips

My take on alternative styling ideas are as follows:

  • Style oversized men’s dress shirt as a dress/tunic, cinch the waist with a belt, and sport with flats for and easy laid back, chic look
  • Or wear over a pair of tights or skinny jeans rolled up at the hem, with heeled sandals for a chic city girl look
  • Add some feminity to this androgynous look by pairing with a skirt, a pencil skirt or high waisted midi shirt with heels.
  • You can wear it slightly tucked into your favorite pair of boyfriend jeans for that tough girl look

Remember, however you choose to style it, own it and rock it with poise and confidence.

Thanks for stopping by, see you next week….Ciao Bella!
