Hello Dears

You might come to the conclusion that I have been on an animal print frenzy lately. And I would not argue with you considering this this and this posts, not to mention IG. That’s because, although I most consider animal print season-less, the trend is in full swing this Fall…Snakeskin print to be precise, but who’s checking right? Leopard, Tiger, Zebra….are all exotic and animal prints, that can be overpowering, and a put off, when done wrong. On the other hand, when done right, your outfit will exude boldness, and daring sophistication.

First, and foremost, animal prints are considered neutrals, perhaps the new black? This means animal print can literarily be paired with just about anything…yes, and no need to try and match animal print, since they are quite capable of standing alone. Secondly, animal print adds a certain amount of fierceness, edginess, and what I call chicie-spunk to your look…delivering that sartorial elegance we all seek.

In view of that, for today’s look, I am styling an animal print bandage skirt. Check out those posts for important tips on how to style a winning animal print look. I literarily shopped my closet for this entire look, except the Chloe boots which was a recent purchase from a major consignment store, brand new. These are some of the points I addressed in my post…doing my part to contribute to the sustainability of our planet, previously written about here and here.

In line with that, I paired this animal print skirt, previously styled here, and here, with this top, also previously styled here. The edgy vibe of the animal print is so beautifully balanced by my very feminine ruffle, shoulder barring top. However, I also upped the ante on the feminine vibe by styling with a pearl strand.

Further, I decided on the purple booties to add an unexpected pop of color and interest to my look. The coat is a light linen coat I have owned for quite a few years, same as the handbag. They both add different textures and depth to my look.
