Royally Dancing into Fall

Hello Loves!

Join me as I royally dance into fall in this Tribal Print or Ankara high waisted Maxi Skirt. I present to you, this breathtaking tribal print, high waisted maxi skirt. I am soo in love with this skirt, right now. First, I love the color purple ( and the medley with pink and turquoise). It’s the color of royalty they say. Is it any coincidence then, that I feel so royal in this outfit? Ha!

Secondly, as I’ve posted before, here and here, the ankara fabric is made of  bold, beautiful, and colorful prints that also offer great versatility in styling. Because I wanted to maintain, and showcase this fabric’s design, I opted to keep the entire fabric almost uncut, hence the maxi skirt. And I love it! What do you think?

In addition, the high waisted style is incredibly flattering, giving an illusion of a tall silhouette. So, to maintain that tall silhouette, I wore this Tribal print maxi skirt with this uber stylish, ethereal frilling off shoulder top from Chicwish. I so adore the high fashion look of this top. Also, as I have mentioned before, here and here, off shoulders act as gentle reminders to keep shoulders up and back and reduce slouching, which we are apt to do…I know I am anyways (insert wink emoji).

Further, in keeping with my culture, I tied the gele, or head wrap. It serves me two purposes here. First, as a cover up for my bad hair day…hehe. But most importantly, as the crowning piece for this outfit, another reason, perhaps of why I feel Royal, hehe! To finish up, I wore this mile high Alexander McQueen stiletto pumps, one of my fave splurges.

Anyways, as you have noticed, I am a fan of wearing white after Labor day, or any day of the year for that matter! That rule is soon passé…so go ahead and pair your favorite whites with any item that is of the season.

Finally, Happy Labor day to you all. Hope you have a fabulous love filled day with your families. What are your thoughts? Leave me a comment below on how you would have styled this ensemble.

See you soon, and thanks for stopping by!

Chao!
