As I continue in this fabulous spirit of summer, I decided to feature this white Floral print strapless sheer maxi dress, that had been sitting in my closet for quite sometime now. I bought it as one of those spur of the moment inexpensive purchases, threw it in the closet, then forgot all about it…until now. Do you find yourself doing that too?
Maxis are a summer staple. Although seen as casual, you can style them with the right accessories to exude an air of casual elegance. Maxi dresses are versatile because, although casual pieces, they can also can be dressed up.
The expected norm is to wear them with sandals or flip flops, for a day on the beach, a day out shopping, or an evening stroll. However, they can easily be dressed up to a casual chic status using wedges or espadrilles, as I did here. Additionally, it’s easy to throw a light coat or jean jacket over them for transitioning into the fall season.
There are so many things feminine about this maxi dress. First and foremost, the sheer material is just very sexy to me. Secondly, the elasticized waist is a plus, it adds definition to my waistline and keeps me from looking like I’m wearing a sack.
I feature this dress with flat sandals for the uber sexy casual look and with espadrilles wedges (see also here and here) for a slightly elevated casual chic look. How else would you have styled this dress?
